Oops there is a small mistake in AD's contract above. It is 5 years at $25m per not 4 years

Wouldn't the match discount be applied?

I feel like in prior instances of this, it didn't apply. However please correct me if I am wrong cause I am not positive.

oh crap, I forgot that...
In the rulebook
Sign and Trade
[list="c2 lst-kix_xnshhlxrkjax-0 start"]
[*]About Sign and Trades: Once a RFA's bid is final, teams have 48 hours to match the bid. In this period a team can arrange to trade the RFA to the team with the highest bid. Trades must be posted within 48 hours of the bid closing and the TC will make an approve/veto decision ASAP or within 24 hours.
[*]Sign and Trade Usage: Each off-season, each team can be involved in 1 sign and trade. Sign and trades will use 1 RFA match from all teams involved in the trade.

Yeah I knew that going in, but thanks for looking out for me. Now I got to choose between Drummond and Beal

As for match discount...
It's not specifically in the rules but I would say not. The idea with the match discount is that it is supposed to emulate the idea that a player takes a hometown discount.
In no way would a player accept an offer from another team and then give them the "hometown" discount.
Match and trades happen all the time in the NBA and the contract is never amended in the midst of the trade.
