LTIR? Empty LTIR?

Post by Mr. Ellsworth Wed Nov 09, 2016 2:16 pm

Do we use LTIR? I don't see anything in the rules about it but it's listed on the rosters page. I only ask because Vanek is listed as LTIR in is info. Just wondering if and how we use it.

Thanks

I believe we only have something in place for "out for the year" which doesn't apply to LTIR. Just a normal IR for those guys that are expected to return this year.

LTIR is just another version of IR in the NHL to help compensate the salary cap.  It's my understanding that in FCC, you only get cap relief if your player is out for the entire season.  And the cap relief that you get can only be used on the replacement player.
