Arenas exception for Philly? Empty Arenas exception for Philly?

He is a convicted felon now awaiting sentencing. 99% sure Wash will void his contract and he may have to do jail time.

In a circumstance like this, I believe the league here should treat it like a retirement and thus, free Philly from his contract and make Arenas a FA.

But, this is what the Commish is for, to make these kind of determinations

I have to agree with you.
Well, if Washington is able to void his contract I think Philly should have that option.

I feel for Philly, I really do but I'd vote for no. At least until the season is over and we get to see if it really does get voided.

From what I understand, his contract can only be voided if he actually goes to Jail. If it's just community service and fines then he's still got his contract.

Injured until we know the end result of the whole thing IMO

ya im fine with waiting to see what washington does. I doubt washington would keep paying him all the money and not let him play! if they do void his contract if he gets jail time, then i hope i can void his as well! =) we are trying to be as real as possible!

Thanks for the support Guys!

lets see the outcome.

if washington dont void, no way.

if they do void, then maybe you pay this years salary and the rest will be voided and he becomes a f/a.

in another way, i dont really feel too bad because just like real life... you should know who you are giving long-term deals to. This guy is a schmuck!

anyway, we'll have a league vote on some "I brought guns to the game in DC cuz im a Stupid-Fuck Exception"

yeah, i figured ud need to see total outcome.

just thought with him being a convicted felon now, it could allow the league to take action early

but, ur scenario sounds good

I say you cant void him either. This is a dynasty league unless he retires i say no to letting him void the deal.
