Harvin available
Type D, last year of his deal 14 mil.
He's a top 10 wr when healthy, and a great franchise guy going forward.
I'm selling at a discount for production this year and a pick or two.

Re: Harvin available
A new owner would have to FT I believe for a year before having RFA rights.

Re: Harvin available
nah, Harvin is in the 4th year of his contract so he would be type D after the year.
But it would take an owner eating 14 mil this year, giving up picks and someone decent this year just so he can match the highest offer in FA by paying 10% more than the highest bid.
Quite a lot.

Re: Harvin available
I never said he had to eat all 14 this year.
Besides, there are some WR corps out there who would pay for him in FA, i'm giving them the first shot.

Re: Harvin available
are you sure, d?
cuz dan said before that if we got someone in the last yr, he has to be FT for a year and then RFA the following, as only baseball is one yr for RFA
i cud be mistaken tho..

Re: Harvin available
yea, rulebook says 2 years for rfa
so, anyone who gets harvin this yr, must pay him at this yrs rate, then FT next yr and gets rfa after that

Re: Harvin available
Oh wow, good thing we had this convo. I didn't know that.
Yea he has to be on your team for 1 1/2 years (previous year's trade deadline).
So in order for a team to get RFA on him. They would have to roster Harvin this year, use their franchise tag at over 15 mil next year and then they would get to match the highest bid by paying 10% more.
oof.
But a team that could use a good WR and wouldn't mind doing all that could take a chance.

Re: Harvin available
Thanks for the commentary on a player you clearly have no intention of moving on, haha

Re: Harvin available
Lol sorry
Also just read that if any money is paid on a player ever, they lose their RFA status for good so send money, don't pay on Harvin lol.
No more comments now lol.

Re: Harvin available
Make it Smith and the niners, keep your picks, take ATL and i cant do the cash this year (come on bro, 3/4 of my 2013 budget?)

Re: Harvin available
No.
You sending the $$$ for the picks makes it where I lose 1mil, so it doesnt affect ur budget.
U shoulda snatched Blackmon, as he's a more marketable asset for what ur trying to do.
After making the offer, I realized Foster or Brees may need my FT but left the offer up since I made it and figured maybe if you took it and Foster regresses, I'll just keep Harvin beyond this yr.
No problem with you declining, but this was ur best chance to get action!!

Re: Harvin available
i only went by the contract page.
I'm competing this year, so how is blackmon better for me than smith this year? Much as i love Yo Gabba Gabbert, he's not exactly the picture of reliability.

Re: Harvin available
Blackmon isn't better for Smith at all. But Smith is not available at all either, haha.
Blackmon is better for what you're trying to do than an inj Percy is.
You shoulda snatched Blackmon and shopped him for a 1yr vet.
No worries.

Re: Harvin available
and contracts are a couple mil for buf def and 3 for blackmon...14 for harvin, so thus a 9 gap
hence u paying 8 for those picks separately, so the total ends up as +1 for you

Re: Harvin available
Ah, the money makes sense now.
And I disagree with your assessment of Blackmon, hence my rejection lol.

Re: Harvin available
No worries.
Good luck shipping out Harvin for a serviceable piece.
I think there may be a taker, but Blackmon would get you more.
But, we'll see =)
