Re: Jack Campbell (TOR-G) LTIR
@Xezus help, you can't bring back an LTIR can you? I should have looked and made sure Campbell was out for the season.

I think since you have the money to pay for the replacement player that was signed that can be adjusted in your cap.
For the future just know that LTIR for our league means that they are out for the season and you can use that money to sign a replacement. Regardless of if they are listed as LTIR in the NHL (which is I believe either 30 days or 10 games) they should only be listed as regular IR unless they are done for the season.
For example I didn't put Alex Nylander on LTIR yet this year since they never officially ruled him out for the year even though it is likely just in case he could come back.

That seems like the best way to handle this, lose the cap for the replacementmichiganfan1 wrote:I think since you have the money to pay for the replacement player that was signed that can be adjusted in your cap.

sounds good to me, I'll make sure Darrin is OK with it. Thanks for explaining David, I didn't have time last night.

Yes I agree, it worked out since you had the cash to pay your replacement anyway, but LTIR was made for guys that were out for the year. Didn’t want this situation arising where you get an LTIR guy back during the year and can’t pay him and the replacement at the same time and then it would get messy.

processed ... I think the LT-IR tag is new for yahoo hockey? Maybe we will need a sticky at the top of the IR forum with a reminder of the use of LTIR in FCC.
