I would like to buyout Nate Robinson's contract, do I still have the ability to do so and only pay 1/2 of his salary for the next two years or did the previous owner use it up?

Thank you.

Just post his remaining contract... this way people don't have to look it up in case they want to claim him.

Yes Claiming, snack's just don't get any cash back since he used Buy Out.

heres the Hoops and VSF rule:
Outright Release Waivers: When a player is listed on "Outright Release Waivers", the player will NOT use a roster spot. The option to rescind cannot be used, the player cannot be traded, and if not claimed within 48 hours the player is automatically released.

I updated the contracts page last night, but i wont close this or any other release until the 48 hours is complete.

So i guess anyone can claim 50% of contract, since snacks paying Buy Out? not sure is that is right but i think that what should happen when buy out is used? or you wait for waiver to clear and offer new deal.

Yes, its waivers. All players go thru the waiver process when being released.

Outright release means he's gone whether he's claimed or not. Can't pull him back... someone can still claim him and the original team is not liable for the remaining $

Exactly.

Let me make sure I did this properly. I intended to give him his outright release, and if someone claims him (ha ha ha) then I'm not liable for his salary, but I have no other claims to him: ie, can't pull him back....

Wait, now I'm confused, If I intend to use the buyout, 1/2 his contract, then if someone else picks him up they DO NOT have to pay his salary, just extend him a new contract, correct.

No, what u do is put the player on outright release waivers, if nobody claims the player, u post saying that you're using your buyout. U can also just say "I'm using the buyout if he's not claimed".

If someone claims the player, they take over all $. Don't matter what you intended to do.

This works for regular waivers to. Just regular waivers u can pull him back if claimed or not. He will still use a roster spot.

Outright release waivers he's removed immediately from your roster.
