Alright Sydney I know you are new but i sent a PM talking to you about going over the cap.

I know Thai said he was bidding on Pierce but that still doesn't mean you can go over the cap to sign a new guy. You have to wait until a bid on Pierce is made AND THEN make a new bid.

I don't think we ever made a definitive rule about whether to count rollover or not count rollover in future caps

So you have 15.5 mil this year, 2.5 mil next year

Whatever bid you make, you at least need to have money this year to cover how much money you go over the cap.

Basically add 15.5 and 2.5 together and divide that by two.

So the highest bid you can make in the first two years is 9/9 or something that adds up to 18

we have always been able to assume rollover since a person can technically do nothing and be covered

that was a hot debate before but we eventually allowed it

good catch on sydney's bids, i was looking at them but thought he may have been okay and didnt bother crunching the numbers

I knew it was close but was happy for it to be close and aware. As I said, I was never budding on gay AND Pearce just one or the other, it's only that the final Pearce bid of Thais fell over that gay became illegal, otherwise I was all good. Albeit tight. I never intended to win both those guys with the other existing as I knew I couldn't.
