Statistics (FCC Vote)

This is the default. Seems pretty reasonable. This good or any other ideas...

Fowards/Defensemen: Goals, Assists, Plus/Minus, Powerplay Points, Penalty Minutes, Shots on Goal

Goalies: Wins, Shutouts, Goals Against Average, Save Percentage

i still like the addition of either game winning goals (which occurs in every game) and or shorthanded points which might result in some ties, but i feel like with such a large roster, it wont be nearly as bad as a normal league.

i still think it'd be nice to have both but at least GWG. in the end i think we can all agree to add that one as a compromise.

I like the idea of both to balance out goalie/player significance. Definitely GWG though.

I dont see the significance in GWG. Please enlighten me! I feel all it would be doing is adding more value to players that score goals. Why not game winning Assists? Just seems like GWG are more of a luck thing. When the goal was scored.

To me it's like having Home Runs and Clutch Home Runs. Any guy that hits home runs will benefit.

well it rewards clutch players sometimes which is good, and yes it does reward goals, but in a league where we dont have an overall points category (G+A=Points) i think GWG is a decent stat. G and assists are pretty much an even stat right now and i think GWG wont resort in ties, and will give more value to guys who can put it in the net especially in a tie situation.

More or less we are just trying to come up with ideas to stop the limited number of goalies from being super valuable in our league.

Also what about having a double edged sword and include shot percentage? that way we reward players who are more accurate?

PIM -- Penalty Minutes;
PPG -- Powerplay Goals;

SHG -- Shorthanded Goals;
SHA -- Shorthanded Assists;
SHP -- Shorthanded Points;
GWG -- Game-Winning Goals;
SOG -- Shots on Goal;

Those are fine with me. I like SOG as a cat if you guys dont want SHP just so we have less ties

i dont want ties... ive never used SHP. if they're that scarce scratch it.

SOG is cool, not something that says much about a player, but is somthing to use to value one.

I do like +/- n SoG

yep so we got as a final stat setups as G,A, +/-, PPP, PIM, FW, SOG, GWG and W, SHO, GAA, SV%
