Off-Season Free Agency (Part 1-RFA Eligibility)

So assuming part 1 passes, this would cover who is eligible.

Eligible for Restricted F/A:

• Signed to a 3-5 year contract (not including club options)
• Spent a minimum of 2 full seasons with the current team
• Never listed on waivers
• Club Options picked up


This year and next year exceptions:

• After this season all players finishing a 1 year contract may be matched as a RFA.

•After the '10/'11 season exception: Any player finishing a 2 year contract, must not have been waived in his second year, and spent the full '10/'11 season on the matching team.

So pretty much nobody will be penalized this year or next year for any of the new rules. After the '11/'12 season everything will be in full effect.
