NHL/FCC Lottery

There is likely a clarification needed for the lottery this year. It is this weekend so anyone with a complaint should voice it now. 

Here is the rule:

• Lottery Draft Order: The Frozen Cup Classic 8 non-playoff teams will be assigned with the NHL’s bottom 8 teams by matching up the records from worst to best. The lottery process determines the first three picks of the draft. The rest of the first-round draft order is in reverse order of the teams' win-loss record. The lottery does not determine the draft order in the second round.
  
  

Here is the issue:

The NHL expansion team, Vegas, Will be tied for the 3rd best odds with Arizona. I assume we will assign an FCC team to the expansion team although I can see an argument for ignoring Vegas given the wording. Assuming we use Vegas our 3rd and 4th worst teams are West Seneca and Minnesota. Being the worst team I figure West Seneca should pick if he wants Vegas or Arizona. 

As of now

NHL TEAM - FCC Team
Colorado - Colorado 
Vancouver - Green Bay 
Vegas - West Seneca* 
Arizona  - Minnesota*
New Jersey - Philly
Buffalo - Michigan

What happens in the unlikely scenario that a team with lower odds than the Sabres wins the lotto?

It just gets ignored and moves everything back so the worst Colorado could do is 3rd instead of 4th. Better explained in the rules I think.

Luckily it didn't come into play since nobody cared. Congrats on first overall darrin. Everyone else slots down 1.

1st overall and the Flyers got #2! Lucky day for me ha especially after a strong Eagles draft!
